The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ represent the most generous gift ever given- when the King of Glory gave up everything in order to reconcile us to God.  Giving cheerfully, sacrificially, and consistently is part of our worship.  Understanding that everything we have is a gift from God that we manage as stewards enables to be generous with others.
